I definitely have a bad case of the stripes! I'll have to look up that book, it looks lovely. I don't really want a cure though, so I will have to ignore that part, if it has something like that in there! I must thank my sister for the stripe enabling, though, as it was she who told me I could knit with stripes easily by carrying the wool up the side.. so thank you to her too!! (she is at http://greedyforcolour.blogspot.com/ ) I love that bit of orange in there too. My next, next, next project is forming in my head and it contains blocks of colour this time, a rug for my couch and it will have lots of bright lovely colours... it will take some time though!
I bet your house was fun when your were growing up!! Their is 3 girls in our family and we grew up on a dairy farm, with all the nature around us. I think it has given us great foundation and a strong spirit. My sister also is a blogger, you can find her an http://hyena-in-petticoats.blogspot.com
i love those colours Leonie! They look superb. No wonder you are stripe addicted. You'd start one colour and say "oh but that colour is so nice I want to use that one' then make the change and then repeat the cycle!
My kindergarten son brought that book home from school as a library selection and I read it with him and thought it was really neat :)
