Those pants are so cute. Here's crossing my fingers!

Your sis sent me over... :) Those are such cute pants - I couldn't figure out how much fabric I would need to send in for a pair of pants on the site, but maybe I just missed it?

Lydia said...

Love the blog design. Even more, I L-O-V-E those Fisherman pants. I have not seen such a cute pair in awhile. For a girl like me with wider hips and legs but lots of tallness going on, these could very well be THE pants for me. (Pick me, please?!)

Hey Michelle, Just pop over to the shopping page on our web site and all the information should be there. Yell out if you have any more problems.

Wow - they are lovely. As a stay at home mum, they look like a great comfy but stylish option for around the house, down to the park, out shopping! So versatile. Love them (pick me!).

Wow! Those are awesome fisherman pants! Seriously amazing! My only feedback would be to try to add a "search" function to the website. That is always helpful for if someone hears about your blog and wants to search for a specific post or tutorial. Also, I'd love to see more details on the "About Me" section. Perhaps a whole page? Thanks for the wonderful giveaways!

Hi,

I've just been having a look round your new shop and I am loving the Alexander Henry Birdseed fabric; I would be so happy to win this. I'm not loving the panther pritn as much, but the Japanese Dots and Swirls is also lovely.

It will be nice to come back as and when your fabrics change as well.

Best of luck with the shop - not that I think you need it.

I'm new to your blog and I would have never thought of fisherman pants before but the ones you make are amazing. You're really great with the colour combos (I struggle with anything beyond simple complementary colours).

kiko said...

Am I allowed to enter both giveaways? I am new here and LOVE those pants! They are lovely! I love your blog. And I came to discover it because I too like to make things, but I also appreciate you writing about more personal things. Like your grandmother and about your son. I think the honesty and transparency is amazing. And I just wanted to thank you for sharing.

Debbie said...

I've only just been sent to your blog by your Nanny!! I love your fisherman pants, looking forward to more posts.

Hi - have a lot of respect for you and your family. I know how hard it is running a small business but do so for the same reason as you - to work from home so I can be with my family. Your site is fantastic - really simple and classic and clear, and answers every question a customer might have. There's a great selection of fabric too that are really well put together.
The pants just look so comfortable that even if I don't win I will be saving up for some!!
Cheers! Skip.x

Oh those pants are wonderful!!! The only info I couldn't easily find on your site was about sizing, but then I found it in the online store section.

These are such cute pants. I think a khaki color would be a great addition to what you have shown!

marie*jolie said...

Goodness, I've never seen pants quite like this! I'm a very casual sort of gal who loves yoga clothes and just generally comfortable, easy clothing. These pants are perfect for the way I dress- and as a mom of three boys (and no girls!), I tend to go for the easy and fast style of whatever fits and looks decent. A surprising fact- I'm in my mid-30's and just recently my pants are getting too snug for me (which is a depressing thought, but please don't tell anyone I mentioned it), and I'm realizing the benefits of having clothes with a little more "give"- or wiggle room. Your pants are flattering, your fabrics are gorgeous (particularly love the bird & feather fabric on in shop online)... If I could add anything, it would perhaps be a few styles with really neutral designs- maybe just a solid earthy fabric for the contrast. I'm all about having clothes that can mix and match with anything, so the more versatile the better! Thanks for the chance to win. I'd love to be a proud owner (and 'wearer') of your fisherman pants! leafygreenes at gmail dot com

I have just discovered your blog via the Sew, Mama, Sew give away links. It is fantastic to see such a fresh and unique blog with it's own unique style. I have only glanced over it so far but I will be back soon to take it all in. Oh and I love the pants!

Sara said...

LOVE LOVE LOVE these pants - but as a broke college student as yet, unfortunately, can't possibly afford any...

the design of the site is very intuitive - easy to find all the information i needed; I also liked the set-up of the store where all the options were immediately visible and available, as were the prices for each. beyond being functional, the site looks really nice! Good colour arrangement and choices all over the site (and the blog too): it all flows really well, looks appealing, and isn't too busy, which is the death-dealing flaw of many blogs/sites.
hooray!

(man, i really hope i win a pair of these... especially as i'll by broiling in the 90+ degree weather in central mexico this summer and need something uber comfy... Actually, 90+ might not be so hot for Australia... but for a Washingtonion, well... anything over 70 is pretty killer. *grin*)

These pants are genius! Last summer I tried my hand at making some wrap pants as a comfy casual alternative, but they never fit well around my butt, and well, I had other issues with them...These are cute and practical! I am super excited about these. This is a crazy generous giveaway!

Jasmine said...

Hi Leonie. I just found your blog via Leah who has inspired me with her adventures for the last couple of years and lured me over with a pic of your pants. I used to have some in a similar style but post bebe they fit no more. I think my middle must have caught up to my hips!
I'm going to dive into your website and search for a pair that might suit my, er, motherly frame.
Many thanks.

Zarah said...

Really?!
Oh my - I'm... blown away. WOW!

Now, as I'm a big girl (currently growing slightly smaller - yay me) I don't have that many flattering pants to choose from and with the current fashion... Well, let's just say it's tricky (with emphasis on the: "impossible") to find anything that's both fun, flattering AND in my size. ;)

These pants would be a God send for me - as they're so versatile! I could wear them during the day or with a dressier top for night time events!

I haven't ever seen this type of pants before, but I really REALLY like them!!

So... Here's me, sitting across the big puddle with fingers crossed, hoping I made any sense at all even if I'm currently unsure about my English. I blame the infatuation with the pants!! ;)

Sincerely,
Zarah in Sweden

I found your blog via the Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day and I am so glad I did! I have two pair of Thai Fisherman pants that my brother and sister-in-law brought me from their honeymoon and I practically live in them. If I don't wear them during the day, I usually change into them at home. I love them! However, I always feel a little awkward about the fabric in the front and am never sure whether I should tuck in the shirt or not! (you asked for honesty.) Anyways, I really like how you've adapted them in the front so they're not so bulky. I also like the shorter option. Great idea!

The Shumate Family said...

I absolutely LOVE your website (designed very well... I'm a graphic designer, so I notice these things) The pants are beautiful. They look so comfortable, without sacrificing style... tres chic! I'd love a pair as I have just had a baby and need some adorable summer clothes!

debbiekl said...

These pants are awesome - I've never seen them before! It's really cool that you allow people to send their own fabrics in. The customer gets exactly what they want and you don't have to hunt down a desired fabric. Great idea.
Thanks!

Lutya said...

I love your pants. One suggestion is that you have some additional pictures of the pants - some of the pants from the back and maybe some not on models but of them laying flat to get an idea of the shape of them. Also perhaps some info on the cuff width measurements? Thanks for the giveaway and I would probably choose the fabric that you offer at the site.

What an incredibly generous giveaway! I like the store website, although the photos didn't load right away (probably my computer's problem and not yours!)

I would love to win this as I am struggling right now with my weight and have very few spring/summer clothes to wear! Post baby and somehow my waist is just not the same :) These pants sound as if they would be so very comfortable as I work on getting my body back to normal.

THanks for the great giveaway opportunity!

I love the pants! They have a truly amazing craftsmanship I'd love a pair!

Kelly O. said...

okay-honest?
At first glance I hadn't even gotten to the giveaway and just saw the pants on the side bar and my first thought was--"what's up with the crotch on those pants?"
The fabrics however are gorgeous and I was enjoying reading your blog down to the giveaway post and decided to even catalogue your blog in my favourites for perusal at a later date. Then I read the post and thought-- "okay. now I really HAVE to look hard at these pants."

I have fat days--I sometimes think everyday is a fat day. and upon further inspection I actually think these pants are very cute. your workmanship from what I can see, is impeccable.
And you have a definate flair for colour.
But I admit-- the traveling pants photo caught my eye. We travel ALOT. Family is far from us and I'm forever looking for something comfy to wear that is still appropriate to go into restaurants and gas stations. Believe me. Wearing p.j. pants into a Denny's at 2 in the afternoon--you get a few looks.
so all in all--I'm sold. I'd love to see a pair up close--I have to say I think the "flood" length is the cutest.
Thanks for a chance to win.

I have spent the greater portion of my life wearing cargo pants and Converse. And now I'm *gulp* 37. I am trying to look a little more grown up and not so grungy, but I am a kid at heart and don't want to look fussy. It's a hard line to walk. Seems like your fisherman pants fit the bill of being comfy and quirky, (as well as *ahem* flattering). I love your fabrics, too. And honest? I'd be over the moon if you could outfit me with something that looked good but felt like 'me'.

The only constructive comment I can make about your store is - I'd like to see a place where you give examples of the choices with labels. These are the short pants, these are the long pants, these are the long with contrast trim. I was looking at what I thought were the short pants, then realized that they were really just the long pants with the contrast. It's a small thing, though. Your site is well designed and easy to use.

toblerhaus said...

Oh wow, those fisherman pants are so much more beautiful that most that I've seen. I adore the notion of the Encino Panther fabric on a pair. Um, or Garden Party...I've bookmarked your site so I can return when I'm not obsessively entering giveaways. ;-)

Great pants. I love the fact that they are tailored. I used to have some thai fisherman's pants and although they were comfy they weren't particularly flattering! I love the pippijoe pants! Thanks for such a wonderful giveaway :)

I love that you offer different options for fabrics and then custom make them. Or I can send in my own fabric. Cool! Makes me feel special having someone make a pair of pants just for me!

Honestly those pants are super cute. But I'm thinking since I'm super short and SUPER chunky (although I am working on the latter), will that style really look good on me? Maybe you might post of pic on what they'd look like on someone with my body build.

Hugs & Blessings!

I've actually seen your blog and been admiring these pants from afar for a while. I determined to try my hand at making my own (because, well, I'm cheap) but I STILL haven't gotten around to it and this being-pregnant-with-a-toddler stuff doesn't help the motivation. I know, I'm pitiful!

Anyway, I really love them and the idea of personalizing them. If I won, I'd be very, very, very likely to give in and buy more (hint, hint honest Dave). ;)

K said...

I really need some cute new pants. With two little ones, it makes it hard to get out to shop, but then, when we get an evening out, what to wear? I'd love to be wearing some of these cute pants!

Emily said...

The fisherman pants are great-- such a good design! My baby is five months old, and I'm only fitting into a few pairs of pants. These would fit the bill so well as I am reluctant to buy pants when my size is fluctuating so much. Thanks for the opportunity!

AllyJo said...

You have a fantastic, unique product, which I have never seen before. Your fabric choices are fabulous, funky and fun. Your logo is gorgeous and appropriate. It draws me in to see more of what you have.

My honest opinion would be to update your pictures with close ups and maybe better light. The girls are so pretty who model, but I can't see the pants very well. I had to get up close to my screen to see them. They are fantastic, now that I can see what they look like.

Best of luck with your business. Take care.

I love the photos, the pants look good in them. Having something look good in person and look good in photos doesn't always translate. I also love the fabric choices in the shop!
