My Creative Space

Remember here. Well I moved it along this week...... with a bit of.....

This.......

Lots of this........ If I was to tell the truth, I really enjoyed this part of the process, which surprised me, I thought it would be the monotonous bit!

To get to this.....Quilt Number 2!! I think I might love this quilting gig!

FABulous quilt, Leonie! It looks so fresh. I really love hand-stitching too - there's something very calming and meditative about it I think :) K

I just bound my first quilt and really liked the process. I like to hand sew, though. I thought it was a nice way to finish up all of the work I'd done, in a nice, calming way.

So that's the binding you're handsewing is it? Quilting... I kinda love it and kinda hate it. But sewing the binding on is therapeutic.

Oh wow, I do have patience, but not enough to quilt I'm afraid! :)
It's great & I imagine you're happy finishing this project! :)

Moved along just a bit then!! Very impressive for about a week's work!! It's so satisfying, finishing a quilt. I keep looking at mine, thinking "I did that!" I'm having trouble believing it. Enjoy that feeling ;-)

Looks fantastic :-)

I really like the contrasting patches of red. I can't sew but when I see all these lovely pictures I really wish I could just whip up a quilt. Very nice.

I'm just going to have to quit the real job, become a 'kept' woman (hmn) and take the quilting leap. YIKES!

Isn't it funny how sometimes we put things off because of how we think it will be, when the reality is completely different. I can see why you might love this quilting gig... you've done a beautiful job.
