Today I Have Done It!!!

I have officially taken myself off facebook!! I am sorry if this offends BUT I just can't do it anymore, there is so much other fun stuff going on.........blogging is now the only way someone can track me down (I don't twitter either!). I love blogging, I love the photography challenge, the inspiration for creativity and the friendships that I have formed...but facebook...I am just "NOT THAT INTO IT!" So it has gone.....Hmmm quite cleansing really!!

Better go....off to the veggie garden to get some greens for tea......Yum!

Yes very tempted to do the same Leonie ... very rarely checking in and when I do I usually don't like what I see (thinly veiled contempt in the form of 'status updates'. Just tells us who's pissing you off why don't you!!)

Your garden looks that much happier for your extra love and care ;)

p.s I just saw that you won Melanie's tea cosy! What an entry too - you realise you're a poet right?

I'm on the cusp of quitting facebook too, you may have pushed me over the edge, such a time waster and I dont really get business from it, I'd rather be blogging or that other old fashioned thing....face to face talking !

Oh... that is VERY interesting. I don't do anything on fb 'cept waste time too, but I do like seeing friends photos & what they're up to occasionally, 'cause not everybody blogs... if only they did... I'd never get off the computer...

I digress!

Congratulations, now you have more time to spend doing all the other fun stuff!!

I have openend your blog so many times now and never got around reading *sigh* but this title just drew me in! I dislike Facebook. I don't know what I'm doing there as I'm hardly ever there anyway. I pop in perhaps once a month to read messages sent to me. Perhaps now that you have taken the plunge to shut it down, I have the guts to do the same? ;)
Is is hard to get rid off? I mean, can you close it without any problem? :)

Welcome to the club! As soon as I started blogging...I jettisoned FB. So liberating!

Good on you!
I deleted my facebook account months ago and haven't looked back. I was sick of people leaving stupid videos, etc on my site and having to log in just to read a message. I also hate the constant requests to join similar social sites from business people. So yeah, if you want to contact me, leave a comment on my blog, email me or call! That's enough choices, isn't it?

I know how you feel. I have my professional Facebook page attached to my personal one, ignorance on my part when setting up the Fan Page that links to my online real life work. I started trying to disentangle them today. Yuk. Same with Twitter. Yuk. Yuk.

Congratulations! I've never been on Facebook, and have never been interested. Twitter neither. I'll keep to my blog and Flickr and that will do me just fine!

Mighty looking veg you have there! Hope you had a lovely dinner.

Good for you. I really should do the same. The (limited) benefits just aren't worth all the crap you have to wade through!

Holy moly. De-Facebooked and leafy greens for dinner? You must be feeling positively cleansed.

I have a facebook and it's only there in lieu of a class reunion. I don't really like using it, though it's the only way some of my family members will contact me!

Oh Yay! Good for you.

My world is a better place more resembling your bead solar system above since I shut mine down earlier this year. I ventured back once for about half an hour ... then remembered why I closed it and I shut it down again!

Haven't ventured onto Facebook....seems like another timewaster to me.....I haven't started because I know I'd get stuck there! Blogland is far more enriching - lovely pics and snippets of life. 'Tis more than enough for me. Good for you for discarding the stuff that's not working for you. Blog on Leonie.....
