Ok, Ok......I have never claimed to be BRIGHT!!

See the problem is..........IT WONT WASH OFF!!

The left side of my brain said "Put some gloves on when you kneed that-there food dye into the PLAY DOUGH Mixture"

The right side replied "Nah....you'll be right....just go for it!!!"

So if anyone has any ideas on how to get food coloring stains off your hands......please feel free to leave a comment......any advice would be appreciated!!

Stop laughing you lot this is not FUNNY!!

Oh...the recipe : UNCOOKED PLAY DOUGH

2 cups of plain flour
4 tablespoons of "Cream of Tartar"
2 tablespoons of cooking oil
1 cup of salt
2 cups of boiling water
and of course FOOD COLORING!!

Mix it all up until well combined!!

Please Note : Personal recommendation from the author of this blog........rubber or latex gloves maybe handy!!!

Been there! lol. Depending on the type of food dye used, toothpaste can take it off. or i've used bubble bath with salt. Hope one of those works for you. I still barely remember the gloves. lol.

I' sorry, I'm laughing! I have been at art classes that left my hands decorated with paint that would not come off even after an hour in the pool. It will wear off eventually:-)

I always knew you were part oompa loompa! What about one of those cheap nasty toxic shampoos to wash your hands in - I'm tipping the organic stuff ain't going to do much. Thanks very much for the pack of goodies - we girls arrived home to find it- you are a treasure! kel xxx

hehe sorry having a bit of a laugh here, brings back memories. I had blue hands a few weeks ago. Maybe try a bit of lemon juice, it will still take a few days to come off, and the lemon juice probably didn't really help, but it made me feel better that I was doing something. Oh and so you know, I have done this twice LOL

Well I am relieved now I've read your words. When I glimpsed the pic I thought it was blood and wondered why the hell you were wasting time taking a photo when your whole hand was covered in blood.

Hi Leonie...the trick is to put the food coloring in the water before you mix it all up. As for the hands, anti dandruff shampoo takes the color out of hair, so it may be worth a try...hope it works. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going off to have a little chuckle....hehehe.

lovely to know I'm not the only one... it's hard on the hands, but washing powder. Acouple og goes. Scrub hard. When I get desperate, I use a non-metallic scourer as well (I'm sure there's fancy hand stuff, but sometimes you're due out to a flash dinner in a half hour, and, well...) good luck!
