My Creative Space

This week I'm embracing the (my) new revolution......."go slow knitting". The knitting that you start out with MUCH GUSTO but then....f...a...d...e...s.... away into the distance like a long lost first love.........

Note to self (mid year resolution): Must put romance novels away and pick up clicking sticks!!

Did I ever tell you that my first scarf took 5 years to complete......true.

Oh.....Tutorial for cable scarf...... here!!

For more fun, grab a cup-pa and pop over to Our Creative Spaces.

This describes me and knitting to a T! Lucky you do it so beautifully you are allowed to take your time. I'm off for another cuppa.

Oh goodness... 5 years!! That's dedication for you :) I dare not attempt cable... I think it would end up in the cupboard after a while... ha ha ha

Loving the colour and pattern of your current knitting project. Did you end up wearing the scarf?
I've been a little less practical and made a crochet penguin for my daughter's friend. Percy is rather fat, but very cute.
Have a great day,
Anne xx

Go slow is really all about the moment isn't it? You start it in a moment of frenzy but then can never quite find the next moment to pick it up again. Cherrie

I am working on my blue scarf at the moment. It is taking SO long so the evenings are very intense once everyone is in bed I am clicking away desperate for my blue scarf! I have more than half way to go - thought it is a new stitch for me - I am loving the texture. Your texture looks beautiful - give it a feel for me will you?

I aim to finish the blanket I started for Busy 2 winters ago by the time she heads off to uni. I like to set realistic goals.

i think we can call it mindfulness knitting, being in the moment with each stitch and being with the process, visualising the end product, allowing our anxieties to melt away, shutting out the outside world...UNTIL you get fed up and stuff it in a bag that gets shoved away behind the sofa!
